The Studio (for 2/3
occupants) is usually offered on a Self-Catering basis,
though may sometimes be available for Bed and Breakfast, at additional tariff. The single-room Studio apartment
is on the ground-floor and has a private entrance. The ingenious concealed Ikea mini-kitchen
is equipped with two-ring hob, combination microwave oven, kettle, toaster, refrigerator and sink. Crockery,
cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils are provided. The living area has a dining table and
chairs, sofa, TV, DVD, radio with MP3/iPod connectivity and free WiFi reception. The bedroom area has standard-size double
bed with electric underblanket. Next to the bed is a beautiful French cast-iron wood-burning stove (the
house is, of course, centrally heated). The sofa converts into a 4ft. occasional bed, ideal for a child
(please see Tariff). The en-suite shower-room has a multi-jet shower, WC and handbasin.
The Studio's entrance doors open onto a small courtyard, delightful for evening drinks. By
arrangement, your dog may also be accommodated in The Studio (please see Tariff).
The Guest Room
(for 2 occupants) is available for Bed and Breakfast.
This ground-floor room is furnished and decorated in a style reflecting the ethos of the Arts and Crafts movement,
with iron double bed (standard-size, with electric underblanket) and oak floors with sheepskin rugs.
TV, DVD. Radio with MP3/iPod connectivity, tea and coffee making facilities are provided and the spacious, thoroughly modern en-suite
shower-room has an invigorating multi-jet shower. The windows look out onto the garden
and rolling fells with a view of the magnificent Langdale Pikes and the summit of Coniston Old Man.
