The Studio (for
2/3 occupants) is usually offered on a Self-Catering basis,
though is sometimes available for Bed and Breakfast, at the same tariff. The
Studio has a private entrance opening into the single-room apartment. The ingenious
concealed Ikea mini-kitchen is equipped with two-ring hob, combination microwave oven, refrigerator and sink. Crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils are provided. Bed
and Breakfast guests do not have access to full cooking facilities, though tea and coffee making facilities are provided. The living area has a dining table and chairs, sofa, TV, DVD and radio. The bedroom
area has standard-size double bed with electric underblanket. Next to the bed
is a beautiful French cast-iron wood-burning stove (the house is, of course, centrally heated). The sofa converts into a 4ft. occasional bed, ideal for a child (please see Tariff). The en-suite shower-room has a multi-jet shower, WC and handbasin.
The Studio entrance doors open onto a small courtyard, delightful for evening drinks.
The Guest Room (for 2 occupants)
is available for Bed and Breakfast. The room
is furnished and decorated in a style reflecting the ethos of the Arts and Crafts movement, with iron double bed (standard-size,
with electric underblanket) and oak floors with sheepskin rugs. Radio, TV, DVD
and tea and coffee making facilities are provided and the spacious, thoroughly modern en-suite shower-room has an invigorating
multi-jet shower. The windows look out onto
rolling fells and a distant view of the magnificent Langdale Pikes.
