DIRECTIONS TO LICKBARROW
LODGE, WINDERMERE,

Please note that these are the routes which we use. They might
not be the same as shown on some GPS systems, which have been known to lead guests astray!
From South, M6 J36, then
A590/A591 to Windermere (20 minutes). From North, M6 J40, then A66 (West) for 1 mile, then A592/A591
to Windermere (50 mins). Drive down through Windermere village and, at the end of the one-way system, immediately after
the pedestrian crossing, turn left into Broad Street. At the end, turn right at the T-junction, then immediately
left into Park Road. Drive to the top of the hill, passing Heathwaite Post Office and Stores. Before
entering Windermere Park, turn left into Lickbarrow Road. Ascend steep hill, pass lane on left (sign -
"Single track gated road"). After a further 200 metres, pass Pinethwaite on left, then enter next gateway on the left into
Lickbarrow Lodge (the white house with two balconies. We are usually home by 1600 and guests
are very welcome to arrive any time after that.
(Departures on your
last day are normally by 1030).
