PREVIOUS GUESTS' OPINIONS
Below is a small selection of the comments made by previous
guests:-
- Beautiful peaceful location yet only a 20 minute walk into Windermere. Owners were very friendly and accomodation the
best we have stayed in for B & B.
- Stayed one night at the Lodge at weekend which was very accomodating of the hosts as most places only did two night minimum.
Hosts were very very friendly, accomodationg and helpful. The room was lovely with heated floors, control over heating and
a gorgeous bathroom and shower. Beautiful scenery surrounds the lodge and its a short, scenic walk into Bowness. The breakfast
was beautiful with plenty of choice, and a roaring fire which was very nice to listen to whilst tucking into the hearty tasty
breakfast. Stunning!
- Stayed at Lickbarrow Lodge on a weekend trip with my boyfriend, Place was in a quiet location with great views, but not
to far walking distance from the centre. Owners were very friendly and helpful in helping us to find the best place to visit
in the Lake District. Great breakfast menu included with Full English and lots of other things to choose from. Will definitely
visit again in the future.
- Beautiful House which has been sympathetically restored. In a quiet location which suited us. Facilitated 2 Large motorbikes
by putting them in the garage. A lovely couple who went out of their way to make us feel at home and we very much enjoyed
our stay. A hidden treasure which I will certainly use again. Stayed only 1 night with another couple who also thoroughly
enjoyed their stay. Even gave us detailed directions and attractions of the area, to visit on our bikes, these routes were
spectacular and altogether made a fantastic weekend.
- Owners very friendly and were especially welcoming to our four month old son. They gave us lots of great advice about
the area and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again.
